Hamilton Method Workshops and Training
We are especially interested in giving more people in more places the opportunity to use The Hamilton Method.
We do not currently have our own operating budget, so we are essentially for hire to other organizations who wish to add Hamilton Method workshops to their course catalog or Hamilton Method performances to their season.
If you are interested in starting a Hamilton Method workshop from the ground up as its own entity, we can help work with you on initial fundraising efforts.
We would like to work together with you to tailor our services to the specific needs and desires of your organization. Below is a list of some of the ways we can imagine our collaboration going, but please feel free to reach out with any other ideas you may have.
Full workshops
A full workshop would start with physical training and study of existing works, progress to multiple small groups writing original short plays, and culminate in a public performance. This typically takes 3–7 weeks.
Shorter workshops
We can customize a workshop to fit your needs, goals, and timeline. A shorter workshop could take half a day or up to 2 weeks. The amount of time necessary is based on your desired outcomes.
Classes on specific subjects
Abstract Creation Methods & Movement: We can lead one class or a series of classes based on the movement and vocal training techniques we use.
Exploring Existing Experimental Works: could be similar to a play reading and discussion group
Writing Techniques: Workshops in how to write using techniques of plays we have studied.
Training to lead a Hamilton Method workshop
We can work alongside your artists to lead a workshop while training them to continue the workshop in future years without our direct involvement.
Training intensives for your artists to participate in a Hamilton Method workshop while learning how to lead a workshop.

Otherwhere: Environmental Theatre Workshops
Lead an Otherwhere workshop for your organization
Otherwhere workshops involve the exploration of our environment using theatrical techniques and letting our environment inspire our theatrical work. They are site-specific and are great for state parks, nature centers, sculpture parks, and urban landscapes.
Touring Productions
We have toured pieces created through the method before, both as an exchange between existing programs and as a traveling company.
Consultation & Collaboration
Directing/collaborating/or consulting on theatrical productions of an experimental nature including devised work and collaborative creation of original works, site-specific, immersive, and environmental works. We have experience in using these techniques outside of Hamilton Method projects.
