A Sharper Knife
EMUXT was a Hamilton Method workshop produced in early 2012 by E.M.U. Theatre, a grassroots theater company in Lawrence, KS. The workshop featured 12 adult participants ranging in age from their early 20s to early 40s. Together they wrote and performed A Sharper Knife a collection of six pieces for the stage inspired by H. C. Andersen’s The Little Mermaid and the techniques of The Open Theater, Richard Foreman, Samuel Beckett’s minimalist works, Charles Mee’s Re:Makings, and Lee Breuer’s Animations.
